Congratulations to our girls basketball team on a great win today in Trim on a score line of 22 - 8. A fantastic display by the girls and a well deserved victory which was crowned off by the awarding of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) to Alicia Barr for her stunning performance today and throughout the league.
Our boys lost out by 2 points on a score line of 16 - 14 to a very strong Wilkinstown team. The boys were very gracious in defeat and they conducted themselves very well both on and off the court.
We are very proud of all our basketball players and it is very encouraging to see the improvement in their skills and the transfer of these skills to other sports such as Gaelic football. We had great support in Trim today and thanks to all the supporters who travelled to cheer on our teams. Thank you, as always, to Brendan O'Shea and John Stephens, our basketball coaches, for their time and patience with our teams this year again.
